The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay

If you’re in the position to splurge, it’s hard to top the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. Set on a bluff overlooking the ocean, it’s easy to lose half a day just gaping at the views. The resort is home to two stunning golf courses, an indoor pool, a fitness center and a spa, plus four restaurants and bars. Navio, the Ritz’s seafood restaurant, is especially known for its Sunday brunch, when diners indulge in an unlimited array of a la carte dishes, including seafood, traditional brunch items, prime meats and desserts. Beverages are an additional charge; there’s also an additional charge per person to reserve an oceanfront window table.

Instead, what you will find are budget-friendly accommodations conveniently located within a 15-minute walk of the beach. Guest rooms include basic amenities like a refrigerator and microwave; a complimentary continental breakfast awaits in the morning. It’s a solid option for travelers looking to stretch their dollar on their trip to Half Moon Bay. 

Cypress Inn

There are just 18 rooms and suites at the intimate Cypress Inn on Miramar Beach. Located on the ocean above a long stretch of sandy beach, rooms feature amenities like fireplaces and heated bathroom floors.
