Inside Coleen and Wayne Rooney’s incredible Dubai getaway with romantic evening and dune tour

It’s been a rocky start to the year for Wayne Rooney after being let go as manager from Birmingham City, but sure to pick him up is a winter holiday with his wife Coleen.

The couple, who have been together for over 20 years, are enjoying the sunnier climate of Dubai this week, and have taken to social media to share an insight into the trip.

One picture showed Wayne, 38, and Coleen, 37, in the desert, where they spent a romantic evening riding camels while watching the sunset – something which the latter dubbed a ‘special experience’ in the post’s caption.

Coleen and Wayne Rooney have jetted off to Dubai for some winter sun, and their romantic getaway has included plenty of quality time; with camel rides, sand dune tours and romantic evenings

Alongside the sandy day out, the couple have been enjoying some date nights in the UAE away from the bustle of having four children; Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, eight, and Cass, five.

One evening, they headed for dinner at Japanese restaurant Salvaje, which boasts a selection of sushi, raw fish, and a Wagyu steak on the menu for over £200.

They are staying at the five-star Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf resort, with rooms starting from £1,300 per night and going up to over £11,000 per night.

Dubai is clearly a favourite holiday destination for the family, as they have chosen the city for numerous holidays before, including a much-needed family getaway after Coleen’s tumultuous Wagatha Christie trial in 2022.

It seems to be just as necessary this time, as the trip comes after Wayne was let go from Birmingham City at the beginning of January after just 83 days in charge, something which he admitted would “take some time to get over”.
