Flockhill, nestled among a jaw-dropping snow-capped mountain range, is a resort and working sheep station spread across 14,500 hectares of land with a series of opulent cabins scattered throughout.

A villa costs anywhere between $9,200 and $22,425 a night and each has a cosy barn-style design and spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

The $14.6million Flockhill is no stranger to celebrities having hosted many A-lister guests since it opened in 2022.

Flockhill Lodge manager Andrew Cullen described the stay as ‘refined wilderness’.

‘As you’re heading up here, you’re heading into the Canterbury high country. It’s majestic in its setting and its views, but (the weather) can smack you,’ he told Broadsheet.

‘We’ve had times when we’ve gone out in December, and it’s summer and it’s 20 degrees, and all of a sudden the weather changes and the wind changes. It definitely gives you the perspective of high-country farming.’
