Kaya Scodelario has jetted off to the Maldives on a girls holiday following the split from her husband of eight years Ben Walker.
The Skins star is staying on the luxurious five-star resort of Coco Bodu Hithi alongside two friends as she takes some time to relax and recharge after her split from Ben.
The actress, 31, reportedly secretly split from the actor, 41, last year, but said that they remain ‘the best of friends’.
The couple tied the knot in December 2015 and share a seven-year-old son and two-year-old daughter together.
Soaking in the sun with her best friends, Kaya looked positively radiant as she posed against the gorgeous scenery before taking a dip in the sea.
It seems Kaya is embracing single life, as she captioned the post: ‘Feeling so lucky to go through life with these amazing friends. Normalize going to ‘romantic’ locations with your mates instead…’
Treating herself to a luxurious experience, Kaya is staying in the resort’s top villa category, the Coco Residence, which boasts 184 square metres of space featuring floor to ceiling windows to take in the sprawling views over the Indian Ocean.
Her villa comes complete with an indoor and outdoor bathroom, as well as a split-level deck with an infinity pool and direct access to the crystal clear waters of the ocean below.
Taking to her Instagram Story over the past few days the star slipped into a skimpy bikini as she dived into the clear waters before gearing up in a life jacket and snorkelling gear for a marine biologist snorkelling trip as she joked: ‘Baywatch eat your heart out’.
Another snap saw Kaya indulge in a delicious floating breakfast, while the pals have also enjoyed spa treatments, a private sunset cruise, lunch on their very own sandbank and a private cinema screening under the stars.
The luxury five-star resort is a popular choice with celebrities, having hosted former England captain John Terry, supermodel Adwoa Aboah, actress Billie Piper and TV personality and presenter, Laura Whitmore.
Following her and Ben’s split, in a joint statement to The Sun, the couple said: ‘Some time ago Kaya and Ben made the joint decision to end their marriage but continue to co-parent lovingly whilst remaining the best of friends.
‘They ask that their privacy as well as that of their children’s remain respected as they continue to move forward as a family.’
The couple have not been seen in public together for over a year and Kaya last posted a snap of them together on her Instagram at a wedding in September 2022.
Last week, the Skins star attended the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star party, where she was seen to have ditched her wedding ring.
Kaya and Benjamin met while filming The King’s Daughter back in 2014, when the Maze Runner star was 22 and the The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power actor was 31.
After a whirlwind romance, they became engaged in December 2014 and tied the knot the following December, both adopting the surname Scodelario-Davis.
Benjamin was previously married to Meryl Streep’s daughter Mamie Gummer, from 2011 until their split in March 2013.
While Kaya previously dated her Skins co-star Jack O’Connell and had a long-term romance with Shameless actor Eliott Tittensor from late 2009 to early 2014.
Kaya rose to fame for her role as Effy in the cult classic Channel 4 series Skins, alongside Nicholas Hoult and Daniel Kaluuya – who is the godfather of her son.
She has since become a queen of the silver screen starring in Hollywood flicks including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and The Maze Runner.
