Marriott International in the Caribbean and Latin America announced today the latest addition to its All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio with the signing of Marriott Miches Beach, An All-Inclusive Resort, currently the Sunrise Miches Beach Resort in Dominican Republic. Set to undergo a conversion process commencing in the second quarter of 2024, the resort is slated to open its doors under the Marriott Hotels brand in the first quarter of 2025.

Nestled on a sprawling 62-acre site in the enchanting locale of Miches, within a 60-minute ride distance of the Punta Cana International Airport, the resort boasts nearly 1,000 feet of pristine beachfront. It will feature 498 rooms, with balconies and terraces, and select accommodations offering private swim-up pools. In recent years, the Miches locality has garnered attention from local and international travelers and tourism companies alike, with numerous branded all-inclusive hotels currently operating or under construction in the destination.

“All-inclusive resorts are enjoying immense popularity in the Caribbean and Latin America, and the Dominican Republic is a prime destination for growth, whether through new builds or conversions,” said Laurent de Kousemaeker, Chief Development Officer for Marriott International in the Caribbean and Latin America. “We extend our gratitude to Don Angel Antonio Garcia Berroa, for his visionary decision to elevate his resort to meet Marriott’s brand

standards, allowing us soon to offer this splendid resort to our loyal guests, who increasingly seek hassle-free family vacations in exotic beach destinations”.

Following Marriott Hotels’ legacy of elevating the guest experience, the resort will showcase a wide array of amenities, including a spa with more than ten treatment rooms, a retail area, three expansive pools with poolside bars, six restaurants, three pop-up venues, and stylish bars, a serene jacuzzi lounge, approximately 8,600 square feet of indoor meeting space, a vibrant discotheque, and a fully equipped gym. Programming and activity options will be curated following Marriott All-Inclusive standards, ensuring unforgettable experiences for every guest.

With nearly 600 hotels and resorts, Marriott Hotels has already made an indelible mark on both the modern business and leisure traveler. As the All-Inclusive segment continues to thrive, Marriott Hotels All-Inclusive concept continues to adapt to meet and exceed the evolving needs of multigenerational travelers, consistently delivering the brand’s heartfelt service with modern, comfortable spaces and providing experiences elevated beyond the everyday.

Following the announcement of the first Marriott All-Inclusive Resort, in Cancun (Mexico) in late 2023 (set to open in March 2024), the Marriott Miches Beach, An All-Inclusive Resort, Dominican Republic, joins a portfolio of worldwide properties debuting into Marriott Hotels All-Inclusive flagship throughout 2024 and 2025, including Marriott Puerto Vallarta, An All- Inclusive Resort and Marriott Djerba, An All-Inclusive Resort – Tunisia.
