TAP Air Portugal Adds 10 Weekly Flights To North America

On Thursday, February 29, TAP Air Portugal announced it had plans to schedule ten more weekly flights connecting Lisbon to various airports in North America. These new routes and route frequencies are set to begin this upcoming summer. During this summer, TAP will operate over 75 weekly routes between Portugal and the United States. This is five more compared to last summer. The airline will also offer 20 weekly flights between Portugal and Canada. This is also five more than last summer.


New services to the US

TAP already offers ten weekly flights between Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Humberto Delgado International Airport (LIS) in Lisbon, Portugal. However, the airline will increase this frequency to two flights per day. The first flight, TP-0231, departs Lisbon at 15:05 local time and arrives in DC at 18:25 local time. The second flight, TP-0233, departs Lisbon at 17:25 local time and arrives in Portugal at 20:45 local time.


The return flights from Washington DC, to Lisbon are registered as TP-0232 and TP-0234. TP-0232 will depart Washington DC at 17:35 local time and arrive in Lisbon the next day at 06:05 local time. The second flight, TP-0234, will depart Washington DC at 22:25 local time and arrive in Lisbon the next morning at 10:40 local time. This flight is scheduled to operate on an Airbus A321LR Neo.

The airline is also increasing its frequency of flights to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) from Lisbon. TAP will now operate six flights weekly between the two locations. TAP will fly from Lisbon at 09:15 local time and arrive in SFO at 15:15 local time. This flight is registered as TP-0237. The return flight, TP-0238, departs SFO at 17:40 local time and arrives in Lisbon the next day at 11:35 local time. This set of flights will be flown by one of the airline’s Airbus A330 Neos.


New flights to Canada

TAP will now offer four additional flights to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) from Lisbon. The airline will operate fourteen weekly flights on this route. The first of the two daily flights this summer will operate as TP-0257. This service departs Lisbon at 10:55 and arrives in Toronto at 14:10 local time. The second flight, TP-0261, departs Lisbon at 17:45 and arrives in Toronto at 21:00 local time.

The return flight, TP-0258, departs Toronto at 17:40 and gets to Lisbon the following day at 05:45. The other return flight, TP-0262, departs Toronto at 23:00 local time and arrives in Lisbon at 11:05 the next afternoon. Airbus A321LR Neos operate these flights.


TAP is also operating a sixth weekly flight between Lisbon and Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL). The flight between Lisbon and Montreal, TP-0253, departs Lisbon at 18:25 and arrives in Montreal at 21:10 local time. This flight operates every day except Tuesday. The return flight, TP-0254, departs Montreal at 22:45 local time. It arrives in Lisbon the following day at approximately 10:30 local time. TAP is also scheduled to operate this flight with an Airbus A321LR Neo.
