Renewed partnership: Stuart Turnecliff (Team Travel Manager, Destination Sport Travel), Kevin Ratcliffe (former Cymru player and FAW Ambassador), Andrew Boyle (Head of Business Development, Destination Sport Travel) and Nick Davidson (Head of Business Development, FAW).

Leading sports travel management company Destination Sport Travel are pleased to announce a continued partnership with the Football Association of Wales.

Having worked with the FAW since 2019, Destination Sport Travel will continue to support the governing body with its travel requirements for men’s and women’s senior national teams, plus age-grade teams.

Destination Sport Travel is a leading team and business travel provider for professional sports organisations, working with 40+ clients including professional clubs, governing bodies and federations.

During the past 12 months, the Wales national men’s and women’s senior teams have embarked on several international trips for UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying and UEFA Women’s Nations League respectively, relying on Destination Sport Travel’s specialist team to provide high-quality charter flights, accommodation and logistics.

As part of the continued partnership, Destination Sport Travel’s business travel department will also provide specialist support for individual player travel requirements, football departments and commercial staff.

Football Association of Wales Head of Business Development, Nick Davidson, said: “The Football Association of Wales is incredibly pleased to continue its partnership with Destination Sport Travel.

“Busy international calendars for our men’s and women’s teams at all levels result in logistical challenges to get our squads and staff across Europe for their matches. This partnership extension means these challenges are met with the specialist support from the team at Destination Sport Travel.”

Managing Director of Destination Sport Travel, Rob Slawson, added: “We’re delighted that the Football Association of Wales have put their continued trust in Destination Sport Travel as we agree an extension to our partnership.

“With busy international calendars across men’s and women’s senior teams, plus age grade teams and business travel across the wider organisation, FAW embark on a significant amount of travel.

“We’re acutely aware of the fine margins within professional support and would like to hope that our assistance in delivering a best-in-class travel provision makes a small difference to FAW’s efforts both on and off the field.

“Naturally we’d like to wish the best of luck to the FAW in their upcoming fixtures including Rob Page’s side for next week’s UEFA EURO 2024 play-off.”
