Starting this month, holidaymakers departing from Birmingham will have more choice than ever, with 29 routes added to the easyJet calendar.

The new routes will include city breaks and beach holidays, so there’s plenty to choose from.

The first flights to Antalya and Barcelona will take off for the first time this week, followed by Alicante, Tenerife, Malaga, Berlin, Rhodes, Fuerteventura and Corfu in the following months.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has also been getting expansion treatment in the last few years, with many new routes added.

EasyJet is the largest airline in Liverpool, with flights on more than 26 routes to 10 countries across Europe and the Middle East.

To bag one of the discounted holidays, all you have to do is use the code “LIVERPOOL” or “BIRMINGHAM” at checkout.

Although you’ll only have until April 1 to book, you won’t be short on time to travel.

The discount can be used on all holidays flying from Birmingham or Liverpool between March 2024 and October 31, 2025.

The only catch is that your holiday will have to be £1,000 or more before the discount is applied.

Airlines with the best plane food

Korean Air

Korean Air won best airline cuisine in last year’s Global Traveler’s awards.

Some of their popular dishes onboard include bibimbap, a Korean rice dish, and ssambap, Korean rice lettuce rolls.

It also made the top 10 for airlines with the best plane food in CN Travelers 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Japan Airlines

Coming in first place in the Reader’s Choice Awards was Japan Airlines.

The airline has partnered with six Michelin-star chefs, each of whom have three stars – so you can expect it to be good.

Passengers can choose bento boxes and miso soups onboard.

Singapore Airlines

Often voted one of the best airlines in the world, it is no surprising Singapore Airlines is said to have some of the best plane food.

Chef Dennis Littley said: “Their gourmet meals rival those of ground-based restaurants.”

Dishes include congee, a rice porridge, as well as Singaporean rice and curry options.
