Family-run Devon holiday resort lands three prestigious awards

A family-run holiday park in Devon has picked up a trio of awards. Cofton Holidays, which has been a holiday park for more than 40 years, was honoured for its commitment to the environment and local food.

The 5-star tourist destination, which is owned by the Jeffrey family, scooped the Gold Taste of the West Award for the site’s Amelia’s restaurant. Judges praised the holiday park for its commitment to sourcing the ingredients for the Devon dishes on a new Field to Fork menu.

The team also received the Sustainability Award as the South West regional winner of the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards 2024. They will now compete in the UK finals in Blackpool on May 9.

And earlier this month, Cofton Holidays clinched Bronze for Holiday Park Of The Year at the South West England Tourism Excellence Awards. Ladram Bay Holiday Park took Gold and Silver went to Padstow Holiday Village in Cornwall.

Lat year, Cofton opened its extended its water fun for both holiday guests and day visitors by launching a new Forest Run splash pad at the site.

Director Helen Scott said: “We are delighted to have been recognised at both the South West England Tourism Excellence Awards and the Federation of Small Business Awards. We always strive to keep improving our guest experience, and the hard work that goes into it behind the scenes.

“These awards recognise the huge steps we have taken so far to create the best holiday park in the South West, and the plans we have to keep evolving and expanding on what we do here at Cofton Holidays.”
