A Rutherglen man has been jailed for a horror double axe attack on a group of terrified families at a holiday resort.

Mohammed Khan was sentenced for breaking into a holiday home armed with two of the bladed weapons.

The 36-year-old targeted a property in Wales last year where two families – including children -were staying, report North Wales Live.

The tourist woke up in the night to find axeman Mohammed was at the door of the isolated holiday home he was staying at.

Cops were called after the convicted criminal, who had gone on a drink and drugs binge in the days before the incident, smashed his way into the holiday home in the middle of the night.

He later refused to put down the weapon and was then tasered by police. He was jailed for 20 months at Caernarfon Crown Court this week.
