Jet2 expands holiday packages from Manchester Airport to Porto with wine tour included

Jet2 has increased its holiday offerings from Manchester Airport to the sunny European city of Porto this summer, due to high demand. This follows an announcement in January that the airline was moving up the launch date for the new route from Manchester to the Portuguese city.

Jet2CityBreaks Discover More packages to Porto are now available for booking. These cater to those seeking a ‘discovery-based experience holiday’.

The packages, which are now on sale for this summer and the 2025 season, include a delightful Douro Valley wine tour.

The full-day wine tour includes a visit to a local port wine producer where holidaymakers can taste three local wines. Then, they will head to Quinta port wine producer for lunch, followed by a vineyard exploration and a second wine tasting.

The day ends with a relaxing Rabelo boat cruise in Pinhao, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Flights from Manchester to Porto will start on July 4 this summer. Jet2 and Jet2CityBreaks will operate two weekly services, on Thursdays and Sundays, until November 3.

Flights will then resume in summer 2025. Porto is a top spot for a city break in Europe. It’s famous for its history, lovely buildings, museums, shops, and fun nightlife.

Porto sits by the Douro River in northern Portugal and has both a lively city and beaches nearby.
