As we head towards spring, many families will be thinking about this year’s summer holidays.

If you’re lucky enough to be considering a trip abroad, there’s one place in particular that ticks all the boxes for kids.

The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel is not just a luxury hotel, it’s also home to the Aqua Land waterpark and the Adventure Land theme park.

Dubbed the ‘Turkish Disneyland’, the theme park is home to rides like the Typhoon Coaster, where you reach the water at 53 miles an hour, the 360-degree loop Hyper Coaster, a spinning Family Coaster and so much more.

As well as the thrills of Adventure Land, there’s a separate Masha and the Bear Land of Laughter, with the chance for little ones to meet the characters and enjoy some tamer rides and activities.

At Aqua Land there’s a huge selection of racer slides and space bowls and anyone staying at the hotel has access to all of them.

There’s a lazy river, a wave shock pool, aqua play, rafting rapids and a baby pool. There’s also an indoor pool with a waterfall and a section for little ones in the spa centre.

Sticking with the marine theme, there’s an underwater restaurant, where you can dine surrounded by a tank full of sharks.

The hotel is in Belek, a town in Antalya, on Turkey’s southern Mediterranean coast and just five minutes from the beach. One of the main companies offering packages there is TUI, which says Turkey is the third most popular holiday destination for customers travelling from Manchester after Greece and Balearic Islands.

Part of the Rixos Hotels group, the hotel has 380 deluxe rooms – 145 of which are connected – 20 suites and one kingdom suite.

The fairytale rooms have been specifically designed for children, with various cartoon designs on the walls and brightly coloured furnishings.

The reviews speak for themselves and it’s got a five-star rating on the TUI website and Tripadvisor.

“The most amazing hotel and theme park – love this place,” said one. “Hotel is amazing for kids, comfortable beds, rooms are amazing. Food and drinks are really nice, a wide choice us and delicious desserts.

“Hotel is kept immaculately clean and the staff are so friendly. Theme park is out of this world so much fun and the water park is amazing.”

Describing it as ‘great for kids’, another added: “Kids will never want to leave the place. Food in dinner is very good. Kids would love to go for breakfast to see Masha and Bear.”

A seven-night break at the hotel with TUI costs from £1,339pp in August and can be booked online.

Phillip Iveson, TUI UK&I commercial director, said: “Turkey is increasingly becoming the go to destination for families looking for a value for money holiday in the sun. Land of Legends remains a popular choice with an epic waterpark right on your doorstep and five star service – it is an ideal hotel for all the family.”
